Can I reach the appraiser during the assignment?

Poor availability is the most common complaint about valuation firms in Morocco: you sign, you pay, then nobody answers until delivery. The fix is contact points written into the mandate, not a sales promise. Set at quotation stage: - The name and direct number of the appraiser handling your file. Not a switchboard, not a generic inbox. - The main channel: WhatsApp for short exchanges, email for anything that must be traceable. - The reply window: 24 working hours. Three systematic contact points: 1. Quote approval and scoping. We confirm the real purpose of the assignment — buying, selling, dividing an estate, insuring, contributing to a company. That purpose determines the basis of value, which is what changes the final figure. 2. The site visit. You, your representative or the occupier attend. This is when you flag what documents never show: works carried out, neighbourhood nuisance, right of way, ongoing dispute. 3. Delivery. The report is never sent without a word. You receive the document, then a reading call covering methodology, the comparables retained and the stated limitations. After delivery, if a reader challenges a point, the appraiser goes back through the file with you. A report whose author has gone quiet is worth far less than one its author can defend. What availability does not include: a value quoted over the phone before analysis, negotiation on your behalf, or a change of figure on request. You can challenge an assumption, a comparable, a floor area or a discount — and we correct it if you are right. You cannot ask for a different number. Before signing with any firm, ask who will actually handle the file and what response time is committed. A firm that avoids the question before signing will not answer it better afterwards.
